The Lodge of Four Seasons along the banks of the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri is a sprawling resort complete with three restaurants, three pools, a marina, a celebrated spa and more. Their new website needed to convey the extraordinary wealth of onsite activities, offerings, events and room choices. We began with a new look including color palette and fonts that capture a feeling of tradition, while incorporating a modern aesthetic. We designed a vibrant website whose homepage could expand as needed to accommodate new features. An integration with the booking engine was necessary and a way to play two beautiful videos directly on the homepage without slowing the site down was important (and accomplished). Because pop-ups cause so many issues and aren’t allowed when using social media ads, we used an alternative to an interstitial to draw attention to the integrated event calendar without being a nuisance.
The mobile-responsive custom website build took a little over three months from approval to launch date. We organized navigation by what pages were most popular on the old site and our assessment of the old site’s user experience on a desktop computer, tablet and a phone using various browsers and browser settings as well as taking into consideration which screens (resolution) are most commonly used by the general public in The Lodge’s geographic area. Finally, as we were also handling hosting, website ongoing maintenance/security and SEO, the website was equipped with strong back-end SEO capabilities.
“We started working with Incite around 2008 and they have exceeded our expectations ever since. Each person is highly skilled in their discipline, but equally important is their dedication to each client and how easy they are to work with. Whether it’s a phone call, email or text, they respond quickly and listen to what we have to say/ask. They provide the data, statistics and research to support their decisions. They treat you like a teammate. The thought, passion, and dedication from Incite are what make them an industry leader.” – Matt Tausig, Director of Revenue Management
